DHI Hair Transplantation
Hair transplantation is an aesthetic procedure performed with new methods emerging with the developing technology in recent years. Both physical and psychological problems that people experience as a result of excessive hair loss end with hair transplantation. More permanent and easier applications are carried out day by day in hair transplantation which is done with many different methods.
DHI hair transplantation applied in our country and in the world is the transfer of collecting hair follicles one by one with a DHI pen and transplanting them to the part that needs them. The tip of the DHI pen used in this application varies between 0.6 mm and 1 mm. With this fine tip, hair is collected from the nape and cleaned. Then it is placed one by one in the bald area. The most important difference of this method from other methods is the lack of incisions and wounds. Since it is applied directly, it is also called direct hair transplantation.
DHI Hair Transplantation Application Stages
- Hair roots from the donor area are loosened with the device. Subsequently they are collected individually.
- Since the DHI procedure includes a piece of tissue in the hair follicles that are transplanted in the hair transplantation, the follicles are classified separately.
- The required hair direction and angle calculation for DHI hair transplantation are determined.
- The hair follicles collected in the DHI hair transplantation process are placed in the relevant pen.
- The thickness of the tip of the DHI pen is determined according to the thickness of the hair root. The use of a proper pen tip is crucial to success.
- No incisions are made in the placement of hairs in DHI hair transplantation. Small round slots are opened. Thus, there are no incisions, stitches or wounds.
- The hair follicles are placed into the opened slots one by one.
- The scalp starts to heal quickly after the DHI hair transplantation process.
Preparing for the DHI Hair Transplantation Procedure : DHI hair transplantation technique preparation phase is the same as for other hair transplantation applications. Certain issues must be discussed between the doctor and the patient. Hair analysis and hair planning must be carried out.
Anesthesia in DHI Hair Transplantation: Local anesthesia is applied in this technique. Only the area to be treated is medicated. An anesthesiologist must definitely be involved in hair transplantation. In this process, the donor area to be treated is cleaned and an anesthetic medicine is applied to the relevant place with a needle.
Collection of Grafts: This is the process of collecting the 2nd Stage grafts when starting the operation. If the nape or nape area of the patient is not suitable, hair follicles are loosened from the beard or chest area and collected with the help of a DHI pen during the related procedure.
Preparation of Grafts: Preparation of the grafts is one of the most important procedures in DHI hair transplantation. It is necessary to prepare sensitive hair follicles for damage-free placement. Roots placed into glass containers are carefully cleaned from tissue. They are placed one by one into the DHI pen.
Placement of the Hair Roots: The last stage of DHI hair transplantation technique is the placement of the roots. At this stage, the hairs are transplanted at the angle and direction planned by the hair transplantation specialist into the round slots in the relevant area. The specialist doctor completes the relevant transfer by pressing the pen. As the hair follicles in the pen run out, the assistant nurse hands a new full pen to the doctor. Thus, the targeted transfer process is completed.
